How long will you keep us in suspense? (John 10:24)
"Does God keep us in suspense? Does He put us in situations of uncertainty? We serve a God of order. He is also a God who speaks directly. But many times, because of man's fallen nature, his stiff-necked attitude and his stone natured heart he becomes insensitive to the voice and move of God. That's why it seems as though God is playing a game of chess. But actually, He doesn't.We think God knows only to communicate through riddles and brain teasers. But actually, He is not the author of confusion or the shaper of uncertainties. He is a gentle God who loves to speak to you in the plain language that you know best face to face. But our sins, our dominating flesh distance ourselves from him to such an extent that we lose God and have forgotten his voice and face. That's why in the following verses, Jesus talks about believing in him, hearing his voice and following him. We live in a loud world which keeps on loading us with all kinds of information. But not all that we hear or see is needed. This noisy planet actually deafens our ears when the gentle whisper of God comes.
