If we give place to devil, what happens?
Our life (Spiritual, Physical, Relational) will be destroyed gradually.

1Pet 5:8 ....The Devil roams about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

- 2. Devil traps us – affect us with out any knowledge or threats.
- 3. Devil deceives us- Showing fake way as real one and will mislead.
- 4. Devil keep us busy in the things of the world and discourage spending time with God and time for God.

Eg.1: Ananias and Sapphira
Pretended doing more than they were actually doing- Pretended as more righteous than you really are……This is hypocrisy......They gave place to the desire to be recognized as generous, great, sacrificial, etc. Then they gave in to the idea to live a dual life........Result….this costed them their lives

- Gave place to the doubt, contradicting the WOG.

Eg.3: David
But the thing David had done displeased the LORD (2 Samuel 11:27)
David, man of God’s heart…failed to control lust of eyes….Though he was forgiven, he had to face the consequences…. David was told that the sword will not depart his house. Accordingly, three of his sons faced violent deaths.
James 4:7 ...Resist the Devil, and he will flee from you.
- Do not yield to the suggestions and doubts that are ungodly and against the teachings of the WOG.
- Best way to resist the devil is by controlling our lust (but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death James 1: 14,15)
- Always cross examine our life and ambitions with the word of God….Regular self examination would help to find the errors.
- Seeking the help of God in the weak areas of our life will help to resist devil.
- Prayer time, Bible time, fellowship, etc. would help to keep devil at distance.
- Fear of God helps to resist desires offered by devil (like Joseph).
- Flee from the tempting places, persons, sites, apps, etc. will help to resist devil.
